Raw & Cooked Meats: We do not recommend wrapping raw or cooked meats directly. However, you can place the meat in a bowl and use the beeswax wrap as a cover to avoid direct contact and reduce contamination risk.
Acidic Foods: Citrus fruits can be stored in beeswax wraps for short periods (3–5 days), which helps keep them fresh. However, avoid long-term storage—especially with highly acidic fruits like pineapple—as they may degrade the wax coating over time.
Heat Warning: Do not use beeswax wraps on hot or warm items, in the microwave, oven, on the stove, dishwasher, or washing machine. Exposure to heat can damage the wrap permanently or pose a fire hazard.
When in doubt, play it safe and avoid using your wrap with high-risk items.
